Real Madrid winger Robinho says he might form part of the deal to take Cristiano Ronaldo to Spain. This amid continued speculation that Ronaldo could leave Old Trafford with the star refusing to put an end to the rumours. While I’m no fan of United, I believe any transfer away from Manchester, even Real Madrid, would be a step down.

Alex Ferguson says he’d rather keep him on the bench than sell him to a rival club. Doubtful whether his board would agree with turning down a bid in excess of 50 million pounds to prove a point.
