African National Congress Youth League President Julius Malema has confirmed that in order to avoid becoming another Zanu-PF, his organisation had decided to open a political school in Krugersdorp (which they officially launched yesterday).

I haven’t seen it but I’m sure it’s to die for.

Malema says they are of the view that the school will help to instil discipline and avoid the kind of conduct we witnessed at the ANCYL conference in Bloemfontein last year. This included the showing of buttocks and of course the odd drunk or two.

Participants will have to write and pass examinations albeit that no indication was given as to the courses.

Based upon past conduct those thinking of enrolling for “first year” should, I imagine be looking at something along the following lines:

ANCYL POLITICAL SCHOOL FIRST YEAR SUBJECTS

English with no funny accents 101
Revolutions 101
Counter-revolutions 101
Public speaking 101
Heartfelt apologies 101
Woodwork (by JM) 101
First aid (compulsory if you take woodwork) 911

Then after first year I’m sure they’ll just make it up as they go along.

If only I had a child to spare he would be enrolling now.
