The Prosperity of our Potential, or Poop — as I have named it — marks the beginning of my foray into the world of humour and satire. I hope that people will be less offended than I expect them to be and I invite all of you to read it and comment here.
I have refused to publish this book for two reasons. Firstly there’s the issue of trees being turned into paper instead of being used to produce oxygen and secondly there’s the issue of people having to buy the book rather than just downloading it for free.
Naturally, as an advocate of the open source and creative commons logic, I think that it is best that we strive to ensure that we share information, however irrelevant, and seek to share work that builds greater understanding of the world in which we live.
Therefore, if anyone feels that this book is insidious, I would like to know about it so that I can release the second book — the response to Poop. As you can all see, my expedition to Johannesburg has had me talking to myself, rather than laundering tenders and licences; which seems to be the predominant work of political consultants here in eGoli.
Naturally, having staked my reputation on corruption-free politics, I hope that none of the people for whom I have the honour of working will ask me to be involved in such activities — given that there are far better ways to fund political parties than the circular reticulation of the Zanu-PF business model.
My thanks to the people of Jo’burg for having inspired the writing of Poop, from Durban with love :-)
